For International Students
CHEMICAL ENG. TECHNOLOGY
Features of the Program
It is a three and a half year (7 semesters) program @ College level. It combines the fundamentals of chemical theory with the necessary practical laboratory work for employment in chemical industries and plants as well as in the environmental sector. Building from a strong grounding in basic scientific principles obtained during the first year of the program, the student is trained in sophisticated chemical instrumentation techniques that may be used in analytical laboratories. Courses in process instrumentation and industrial processes such as pulp and paper, extractive metallurgy and water treatment prepare the student for work operating and troubleshooting computer-controlled industrial processes. Senior courses in chemical engineering prepare the student to help the engineering team improve existing programs and develop new ones. Emphasis is placed on hands-on, practical laboratory training.
Admission Requirements
10+2 graduates with physics and maths requirements.
Physics and Maths at 12th standard level.
Minimum 50% marks in all subjects.
